Transport Ministry says Minister Savelyev contracts coronavirus
MOSCOW, Nov 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s new Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev has contracted the COVID-19 coronavirus and will be temporarily replaced by First Deputy Transport Minister Alexander Neradko, a spokesperson for the ministry told PRIME on November 15.
“The coronavirus test that Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev took came back positive. In accordance with the requirements of the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare Oversight, the head of the Transport Ministry has to undergo self-isolation. His duties will be temporarily fulfilled by the first deputy transport minister, Head of the Federal Air Transport agency Alexander Neradko,” the spokesperson said.
